1254 / The second Temple of Hera / Paestum

I did these sketches when I was, in March, at Campania, Italy.

Next to Salerno, Paestum contains some of the most well-preserved ancient Greek temples in the world. This one is called “The second Temple of Hera”. It is a highly recommend spot to visit! When I draw amazing buildings like this I always think: “have I the right to do it?!

1050 / Students at the UPV / Valencia // Spain

hugo_09-14002_upv_rpsThis morning while drinking an orange juice, I drew this french and spanish students. The fat lady was done a couple of days ago at Pobla de Valbona, though also with an orange juice in my left hand. Is not in vain that Valencia is famous for this fruit!

1007 / Some lost corner at Altea old center / Spain

ALTEA -7-14005_rps ALTEA -7-14005_d-rI escaped from the crowd that runs through the old town’s main road to do this sketch in one hour;  just before eating a nice pizza at lovely terrace, and in very good company! What more can you ask in a late summer afternoon?

1005 / Pergola at Viveros / Valencia // Spain

This is not my favorite subject, by I stuck with friend who was drawing it,  so I did the same. Things you do for friends!

690 / Chiesa Vignola + Vicolo dell’atleta / Roma

Chiesa de S. maria dell’Orto (sec. XVI). Facciata de Jacopo Barozzi – Il Vignola.

The Vicolo dell’Atleta (Alley of the Athlete) gets its name from the finding of a statue of an athlete there, around the middle of the 19th century. The statue, which is called Apoxyomonosand can be seen in the Vatican Museums.
