Yesterday night, at the crowded opening of a new bookstore, Estudio 64, dedicated to illustration, at Benimaclet, Valencia.
While I was waiting for the most amazing book I’ve ever held (from the 13th century), I did this sketch, joining 3 little pieces of paper.
One of my favorite libraries at Rome (Biblioteca di Archeologia e Storia dell'Arte).
By the way, it is forbidden to paint there! I found it while finishing this drawing...
One of the most beautiful libraries I´ve ever seen!
It was established by Angelo Rocca in 1604, and belong to the Augustinian monastery. I´ve read , though not confirmed, that it was the first public library in Rome.
