Castello Estense de Ferrara. (Almost) the last sketch at the drawing marathon meeting for the 4th edition of “Diario di Viaggio”. This time, I used a different watercolor paper (more absorbent): colors tend to be less intense, but ink surfaces are more homogeneous.
When I took the picture, the sun light had already disappeared! Greenwich village, this time with proper watercolor paper, not to good to sketch, but a pleasure to paint on it!
I told you before, I’m obsessed with this #subway beam intersections. I didn’t have time neither to paint , nor to photograph it (too dark). I’ll try to go there another day and watercolor it. Here, colors and light are amazing! Also the multicultural atmosphere, people talked to me in English and Spanish. young Americans called me “bro” or “man” and a Spanish speaking lady called me “papi”. The best comments I remember were: “wow! you really got it for detail” or, if you paint it and put it next to here, it’s gonna be like reality!” (it was said in Spanish).
“O Pulo do Lobo” means the jump of the wolf. People say that a wolf can cross the river Guadiana at this point with a simple jump. Geologically this is an amazing place where the rocks change from white to black and the water displays brown and golden reflections due to sulfur and other natural elements.
“O Pulo do Lobo” significa o salto do lobo. As pessoas dizem que um lobo pode atravessar o rio Guadiana neste ponto com um salto simples. Geologicamente este é um lugar incrível onde as pedras mudam de branco para preto e a água tem reflexos dourados e castanhos devido ao enxofre e outros elementos naturais.

Benimaclet is a popular neighborhood in Valencia, that links the agricultural area with the city. Great site to draw, mainly with the nice light that I spotted yesterday! 
Using watercolor while sailing (in a cold and humid environment) is a bit tricky because it takes ages to get dry!
