The amazing Basilica of Sant’Ambrogio. A Romanesque masterpiece at Milan.
It was really hard to #sketch this weekend, at Piazzale di San Marcos: there was always someone in front of me! I missed sketching with my calligraphic #lamysafari. 1 hour drawing.
One of my favorite spots in #nyc: Franklin Roosevelt Four Freedoms Park. #kahn #louiskahn
A set of drawings walking on the amazing Four Freedoms Park, by Louis Kahn.
One of my favorite views at Amalfi Coast, walking down from #Ravello to #Atrani. #watercolor on #dalerrowney sketchbook.
Another fast watercolor done last weekend at Amalfi. This tiny street with no way sidewalk was not the most comfortable spot to paint! Pencil and watercolor on moleskine.
San Rufino, is a major church in Assisi (also known by the Cathedral) where Saint Francis of Assisi was baptized.
The famous aqueduct at Spoleto in Umbria. Goethe was here, as well Louis Khan.
This morning, with all the tourists, at S. Giminiano. I was there, for the first time, 15 years ago, but I barely had any memory of this beautiful town. BTW, I keep following Louis Khan’s Italian trips, he drew this point of view round 1950. (This is the first drawing on the new moleskine I bought in Rome.)
Chiesa Vecchia, Positano. Exactly on these stairs the famous architect Louis Khan was sketching almost 90 years ago, while traveling on the Amalfi Coast.
