Do you have any favorite house? This one is one of my favourite for sure! The Fisher House was designed in the 60’s by Louis Khan. Some say Kahn was influenced by the fishermen houses he drew at Amalfi coast in his Grand Tour trip in 1929/30.
2202 / Basilica of Sant’Ambrogio / Milan
The amazing Basilica of Sant’Ambrogio. A Romanesque masterpiece at Milan.
2058 / Piazzale di San Marcos / Venezia
It was really hard to #sketch this weekend, at Piazzale di San Marcos: there was always someone in front of me! I missed sketching with my calligraphic #lamysafari. 1 hour drawing.
2019 / From Roosevelt Island / NYC
One of my favorite spots in #nyc: Franklin Roosevelt Four Freedoms Park. #kahn #louiskahn
1958 / Franklin D. Roosevelt Four Freedoms Park / Roosevelt Island
1836 / Chiesa della SS.Annunziata / Ravello
1700 / Street to Atrani / Amalfi
1679 / Duomo Assisi / Umbria
1678 / Ponte delle Torri / Spoleto
1675 / S. Gimignano / Tuscany
This morning, with all the tourists, at S. Giminiano. I was there, for the first time, 15 years ago, but I barely had any memory of this beautiful town. BTW, I keep following Louis Khan’s Italian trips, he drew this point of view round 1950. (This is the first drawing on the new moleskine I bought in Rome.)
