Quinta da Conceição: Swimming pool entrance (Alvaro Siza). This forms always intrigued me, since I was a little boy. I recall felling something special when coming to this place with my aunt and grandmother.

I’ve done a lot of sketches of this iconic Alvaro Siza’s swimming pool (Piscina das marés). This time, big waves were hitting the rocks and invading the pools, reinforcing the relationship and integration of the building and the site. The powerful wind dramatized even more the atmosphere…

This morning I’ve used, for the first time, this 0,38mm muji pen to draw in my little moleskine. I’m amazed how much more information I can sketch, comparing to a thicker pen. By the way sun is back to Oporto !
